Perhaps every few days, sometimes more often, sometimes less, I will go to use plex to be presented with the annoying message that the content is not available. It's become quite a routine, I simply quit plex, click on finder and reconnect to the network shares. My plex player and server are on the same mac mini, running 24/7, never sleeping. Why oh why does it lose the AFP connection to my synology box (411+ii, DSM 5.0)? I used to have plex installed on the synology and it never dropped like this. I moved the plex server to the mini to take advantage of the better transcoding abilities so that i could stream better when I'm away from home. When I'm away from home I can usually connect back to the mac mini via back to my mac screen sharing and load finder to re-find the synology shares. Everything at home is on a wired network, some parts 500mpbs powerline. Can anyone help, it's driving me mad!
