MKVToolNix is a collection of tools for the Matroska media container format by Moritz Bunkus including mkvmerge. The free and open source Matroska libraries and tools are available for various platforms including Linux and BSD distributions, macOS and Microsoft Windows. This image was created for my own use, but sharing is caring, so it had to be open source. It has now gotten quite popular, and that's great! But keeping it up to date, providing support, fixes and new features takes time. If you feel that you're getting a good tool and want to support it, there are a couple of options.
While doing so this tools also lets you pass certain settings (sync, fps, aspect ratio ) and it is through that we can attempt to fix sync problems. But please be aware that the only output format it support is MKV (and few of its variations such as ‘MKA’ for audio’, ‘MKS’ for subtitles etc) and unlike MP4 or AVI, MKV is not. MKVToolNix is a set of tools to create, alter and inspect Matroska & WebM files under Windows, macOS, Linux and other Unices. It is the de-facto reference implementation of a Matroska multiplexer. MKVToolNix consists of the following command-line tools: mkvmerge is a tool to create Matroska & WebM files from other formats. Mkvnix Tool
MKV Fix tool can batch repair broken MKV files that cannot be played, that are not completely downloaded, or that are partly damaged or corrupted. It can even extract internal subtitles from a MKV movie to create external subtitles. An MKV/Matroska video file becomes unplayable when it gets corrupted or damaged due to various reasons. This application has been built with powerful algorithms to splice and de-mux broken parts of a corrupt MKV file and transform, an erratic display into a seamless presentation. Thus, with MKV Fix tool, videos rendered useless can be converted into useful files. Requires NET Framework 4.0 and MKVToolNix.
How to repair damaged MKV files using Orca's MKV Fix Tool:
Launch the application on the main screen and select the file that needs to be repaired
Select the checkbox in front of the file(s) that does not want to play and hit the 'Repair selected' button
After a while the icon should turn into a 'thumbs-up' icon and the file has been fixed.

If you look in the location of the file, there should be 3 files now:
The original file, it is renamed to '.bkp'
An empty file named '.fixed' to indicate the file was already processed (this is what makes it show a 'thumbs-up')
The fixed file will have the original name '.mkv'
